What does Evanite manufacture?
Evanite manufactures Glass Microfiber.
The Glass
Microfiber division produces glass microfiber for use in high-efficiency
filtration found in products such as water filtration systems, medical
diagnostic equipment, nuclear containment systems, semi-conductor
chip manufacturing clean rooms, and many types of batteries.
What types of jobs does Evanite have?
Evanite employs people with high technology backgrounds for
positions in areas of research engineering, safety engineering,
toxicology, industrial hygiene, human resources, labor relations,
operations management, environmental engineering, process development,
marketing and accounting. There are various skilled positions
in production, quality assurance, maintenance, engineering, inventory
control and shipping. How is glass microfiber manufactured? The production of glass microfiber is a sophisticated process involving numerous steps. Raw materials (like sand) are mixed and then melted into liquid glass in a high
temperature furnace. While in liquid form, the glass is forced or spun through tiny holes to form molten glass filaments. The glass filaments are shaped with jets of flame into fibers smaller in diameter
than a human hair. Finally, these glass microfibers are collected, packaged, and shipped to the customer. |
