Evanite
glass microfiber is an extremely pure glass "wool", available in
diameters as small as 0.5 microns.
These fibers:
- are not surface treated, so they contain no additives that can
absorb moisture or cause the fibers to adhere to themselves
- disperse easily in water and other liquids with minimum energy
- are made from pure glass, so they are highly resistant to chemicals,
mold and mildew, and extreme temperatures
- are exceptionally fine, with a very high surface area and exceptional
compressibility
- are manufactured using Evanite's advanced fiberization technologies
Evanite glass microfiber is frequently used as an alternative to
other fibers.
The wide variety of applications for our fibers include:
- liquid and air filtration
- paper enhancements
- fiber-reinforced plastics
- battery separators
- cryogenic insulation
- electrical insulation papers
- friction materials
- nonwoven mats
And the Evanite staff continues to discover new uses for our fibers
as our customer's needs evolve in an ever-changing marketplace. |
